30 Days of Thankfulness-Day 1
I have been absent from this blog for quite a while lately.
Mostly because I have needed some time to de-stress.
But when I saw I'm thinking of starting a blog and Alison's post, I decided that I would join in too.
Because I have lots of things to be thankful for.
So today, I am thankful for the fact that it is the 1st of November and I can finally start bringing out little Christmas things. Braeden absolutely LOVES Christmas and I love building it up for the kids (Ryley loves the lights and the baking and the christmas paper).
In our house, Christmas isn't just about Santa and the gifts we receive. But it is also about sharing things with those who may not think Christmas is so great.
I am thankful that my kids see Christmas as a time of giving, sharing joy and being happy.
What are you thankful for today?
Lovely that your kids embrace the season of giving x I just brought out some christmas fabric and made coop a bandana bib! Lovely to read you blogging xx
ReplyDeleteI am so hoping to find time to get sewing again this year. I have dragged the sewing machine out so at least that is a start I guess!!
DeleteI love, love, love Christmas too - although I usually try to resist getting stuff out until December.
ReplyDeleteWe just get a tiny thing out each day in November and put it out somewhere for the kids to find. I try not to go overboard too early..!!
DeleteForgot to say thanks for joining me in being thankful!!
ReplyDeleteNo worries! Love the idea!!
DeleteI've had one of my worst years this year - but amazingly Royce has been so well. So I am unbelievably thankful for that!
ReplyDeleteOh Marcelle, I am so sorry this year had been so bad for you. I am glad Royce has been well. I hope next year is much much better xo
DeleteIt's been a tough year here, also...but I am thankful for life and our strength and ability to keep going. The eldest child is getting married Saturday, so life should be a bit measurably easiet!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry this year has been tough for you too Phil. I think the year hasn't been that great for many of us. How exciting to hear your daughter is getting married this weekend!! Hope it all goes well!!
