30 Days of Thankfulness-Day 21 (The Just 'Cos Day)

Image
I haven't done a Just 'Cos post for ages. So today, I am doing just that. I am just thankful for these boys of mine. They thought it would be fun to clean the car this afternoon. I am not sure who got more wet, the car-or the kids! It was fun though!

I know I am only posting very sporadically these days, so I would forgive you, my dear readers, if you lost interest. Countdown is well and truly on until the conference, and every spare minute is taken up finalising, emailing and organising. I didn't really have spare time before, so I literally have not a second spare right now. Very excited though as I hear from more families who are coming, and watching as things start to come together. There is never a dull moment in our lives either. Ryley currently has soft tissue damage to his ankle, or possibly a torn ligament. So he is not wanting to walk. I have been carrying him around and my back is just about stuffed. We are waiting patiently for his new stroller so I can transport him around a bit easier. Until then the old faithful stroller is getting a workout. Poor kid must be in a decent amount of pain though. Not fair. So bear with me. Once the conference is over this blog will get a revamp and I will bring in some change...

Dance off

Image
We were lucky to attend the wedding of our friend Jen and Lachlan on the weekend, and we all had a wonderful time. As soon as the band started to set up, Ryley was sitting as close as he could get patiently waiting for them to start. He started dancing as soon as the band started playing. Braeden (despite being ever-so-overtired) was doing his best to keep up! Here are a few snapshots of the dancefloor hoggers: Look at how red Ryley's cheeks are from the dancing!! Yeah, What? Waiting for the next song to start WOOHOO!! We had SO much fun!!

What to do when it's cold.

                                                            1. Dress up as a ninja turtle. 2. Pretend you are waaaay to old to play with dolls, but keep a close eye on your much younger cousin Talia, just in case she needs to be shown. 3. Love your Dad. 4. Wander around Nan and Grumpy's looking for something to do because it is soooo boring for a 8 and 1/2 year old. Like. Really. When is Unca Bede getting here?

This is a photo of Ryley and one of his best mates Zoe. They are such great friends. They have grown up together and have had lots of fun times. Zoe is a very special and beautiful little girl. We are lucky to have all the Wheelers in our lives!

Ryley finally fits into a school uniform top! It is his 3rd year at school and the top is size 4 and still too big...but he can get away with it! Braeden loves to draw and has even discovered that drawing on your face is just as much fun...and I know what Uncle Bede will be thinking when he sees the pictures...!
